NFTY-MAR South Subregional Leadership Day

Join the South subregion at the first ever Subregional Leadership Day. Spend the day learning new leadership skills and meeting MARites from across the South subregion.

Featuring your favorite parts of a NFTY weekend, the day will include Shabbat morning services and innovative programs that explore what it means to be a Jewish leaders in the South, where there isn't always a large Jewish community. Along with Havdallah, social programming, and subregion time, the day will be an opportunity for the two-time TheVent Color Wars champions to learn, grow, and have fun together.

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 9 to 12.


  • Meals included in the cost of the event.
  • Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. Fees are set at a full package rate and unfortunately we cannot prorate registration.
  • All fees are in US Dollars
Thanks to the generous support of Judea Reform Congregation, Beth Shalom, and Temple Beth Or, we are able to provide a bus from Raleigh to Richmond for the event at no extra charge.

For participants coming from other areas, teens and their families should arrange their own transportation. If you have questions or would like help arranging carpools, please contact Jessa Cameron, NFTY-MAR Regional Director, or your local TYG advisor.

Participants will receive an email confirmation letter one week before the event. The confirmation letter will include finalized bus arrival and departure information, a list of items to bring and other important information regarding the event.
If you need to cancel, the registration fees you paid will be refunded as follows:

Through October 26, 2019 – 90% of the registration fees paid

Through November 2, 2019 – 75% of the registration fees paid

Through November 9, 2019 – 50% of the registration fees paid

After November 9, 2019, we will not be able to issue any refunds for cancellation. If you have a documented medical emergency and must cancel after November 9, 2019 you will be refunded 75% of the registration fees you paid. Please allow up to six weeks after the conclusion of the event for your refund to be processed.

All cancellation requests must be in writing. We will accept cancellations by email to nftymar@urj.org. We’re sorry, but we cannot accept cancellations over the phone. Please leave valuables at home. Do not bring jewelry, electronic devices or large amounts of cash. Each participant is responsible for his/her belongings.
