NFTY-MAR Virtual Spring Kallah

We are thrilled to share that we are hosting Spring Kallah virtually! In “A Time Such as This,” we are so excited to come together to share in the magic of NFTY-MAR, with Shabbat and Havdalah celebrations, Regional Board Elections, laughter, and great friends. We are excited for all the possibilities that our virtual NFTY-MAR Spring Kallah has in-store!

Cost: FREE 

All 8th-12th graders are invited to join. 

Spring Kallah Schedule

You are welcome to attend as many or as few virtual programs as you like – choose your own adventure! You MUST register individually by Thursday, April 30.

Friday, May 1
8:00 – 9:00 pm: A Time to Come Together (Opening and Shabbat Services)

Saturday, May 2
10:45 am – 3:00 pm: A Time to Look Ahead (Elections)
5:00 – 6:00 pm: A Time for Big Fun
8:00 – 10:00 pm: A Time to Pass the Torch (Havdallah, Awards, Installations, and Senior Circle)
10:30 pm: A Time for Seniors (Class of 2020 Only Program)

Sunday, May 3
12:00-1:30 pm: A Time to Say Goodbye (Wrap Up and Friendship Circle)

Q: Who is eligible to attend NFTY Mid Atlantic Virtural Spring Kallah?
A: All Jewish 8th-12th graders in NFTY-MAR.

Q: How do I sign up for Virtual NFTY-MAR Spring Kallah?
A: Sign up HERE by Thursday, April 30th.

Q: How much is Virtual NFTY-MAR Spring Kallah?
A: It is FREE!

Q: What platform will we be using to come together virtually?
A: We will be using Zoom. For the safety and security of our community ALL participants are required to register with their real first and last name and will be screened in a virtual waiting room prior to being admitted into programs.

Q: I don't see the Zoom link, how do I get the link?
A: You will receive the Zoom link once you sign up for the event, in a pre-event email.

Q: Is there a virtual "packing" list?
A: Snacks, water, comfortable clothes, a cozy blanket, headphones, and your computer with a video camera.

Q: Do I have to attend every activity?
A: No, you do not. You can pick what works best for you, though we encourage you to join us for the entire event. If you want to be part of the voting process, you need to attend all of Elections (both Meet the Candidates and Voting).

Q: I am a senior. What special senior activities will there still be for me?
A:  We’re working on incorporating some of our favorite senior traditions into this event. There will be opportunities to share the impact NFTY has had on you and pass down your passdowns to the region, as well as close out the year with just the Class of 2020.
